For years, I have been a dedicated member of a club-level sports dog group, offering insights into obedience and helping to correct behavioral issues. My experience has exposed me to a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. Additionally, my roles as a kennel technician and dog bather provided me with invaluable hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes and personalities.

My journey began with my first German Shepherd, who mastered not only fun tricks like sitting pretty and tidying up her toys but also thrived in more advanced activities like dock diving and scent work trials. From there, I immersed myself in the world of dog sports, spending five years honing my skills in competitive tracking, obedience, and protection work – disciplines that demand exceptional teamwork between handler and dog, much like the rigorous training of police K9s.

This experience has shaped my understanding of how foundational training can positively impact a dog's perception of the world.
